Do you know someone in the running community who ALWAYS shows up to help? They’re the first one to volunteer, the loudest person cheering on the course, the one who thanks every spectator for being there? Charlie Miller’s Chainsaw is awarded each year to a member of the running community who demonstrates what it means to part of something bigger- part of the running community in the Kalamazoo area.
Why “Charlie Miller’s” chainsaw, you ask? Charlie Miller saved the day at the first ever One One Run. There was a terrible ice storm that down branches and trees all over Spring Valley- blocking the path that runners were supposed to take. Charlie showed up that morning with his trusty chainsaw and with enough determination, saved the day!
Now, it’s your turn to help us pass on the honor.
